WHAT IS LIVE CHALKING?
A very popular approach for combining chalk art and special events is to have The Chalk Chica onsite doing the design from start to finish in "real time" during the event. This is a unique and fun way for attendees/guests to engage and experience the process of art being created right in front of them.
Live chalking can be scheduled for a specific amount of time during the event, which is planned accordingly in advance.
HOW DO I BOOK YOU FOR MY EVENT?
Use the form on the CONTACT page to send your inquiry or email: thechalkchica@gmail.com with the following information about your project needs:
1) The date of your event & location
2) Start/End time of your event
3) Physical chalkboard signage, chalkboard painted wall or chalk wall installation?
4) Info/Design required (reference images are helpful and welcomed)
Upon receiving your inquiry, The Chalk Chica will provide you with further details and next steps for moving forward. However, the basic "process" involves the following:
1) Pay the upfront deposit and sign Payment Policy Agreement (this will be provided to you via email)
2) Pencil Sketch Phase: confirmed text/info & reference images must be provided
3) Review, feedback and approval of pencil sketches
4) Arrive at location at confirmed start time
5) Complete chalk art & invoice afterwards
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
Special events are charged an hourly rate with a 3 hour minimum. Please email for specific rate information.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR EVENTS?
Yes! The Chalk Chica travels for work not just within California but out-of-state as well.
Travel and accommodations must be provided (or reimbursed) for The Chalk Chica for all events that require travel. The hourly rate does not include the cost for travel related expenses.
